File under: Cool thing that happened that I totally forgot about until Kat reminded me:
My college friend and fellow former librarian Anna is in the band Dreamdate. Once in 2007 Mates of State played at Joe’s Pub here in NYC and covered the best Dreamdate song, “Why Don’t You Make Me.” The audio from this video is terrible, but the song, sentiment, and fact that Mates of State love Dreamdate enough to pay live homage to them is really awesome.
